When I shoot I wish I could freeze the people's thoughts as well... Freeze my thoughts....


Everyone of us is a different world. We have many thoughts and ideas that can make us happy or sad.  Some of us can't create anything when there is something stuck in our heads. It can be anything.  If you were anything like me, you would be worring around way too much.


Yesterday, I had so many ideas at the beginning of the day, I wrote the title of something I wanted to write about.  On my way to the office, I was developping the idea and I couldn't wait to be at my desk to put in words what I wanted.  Something happened in between my thoughts and the moment I had the chance to put on paper that made that disappear.


I am not having complete thoughts since, my brain has stopped. I have images but I don't have words...


This is an idea that has crossed my mind once again...
I called today to the National Art gallery of Canada to shoot there, it is more complicated than I thought.  I had to go through 3 different individuals to finally get hold of the division I needed to reach to have access to this piece of modern art.   I still don't know what will happen, but I am hoping to shoot friends, ML and Gen there. This place is amazing! the architecture is incredible, it is a lot of things I would like to shoot, all in one building. My favorite building!


The photos I want to share with you are captured moments when people perhaps are thinking about something important for their lives... what are you thinking right now?

Ça ne fait rien!

Life in North America is full of commodities that make us forget that a simple life is also great.

It amazes me how some people live their lives so simply and be at the same time so happy; I have to learn a lot.

With years, I have become a very structured person; my close friends know that. I get ready every night for the next morning, I plan all my activities ahead of time, I know from what time to what time I will be doing stuff. Is this simple? No! I am trying to live a more relaxed life, a more flexible life, I said, trying! Hard to do but I will try very hard.

Living more simply is great, and the day I will not need my mobile phone, my camera and my computer, I would say that I have started a new journey in my life, the journey of living more simply.

So, let’s try that!

SOPHISTICATED

I woke up this morning thinking about food and places that serve good food, But I also thought of the time that it is better to go out to eat. I personally prefer a night out than a afternoon out when I am with my friends, people I have fun with; however, when it comes to business and more serious type of meetings I would prefer the afternoon...


I am very passionate about photography specially I am very passionate about night photography.  This is challenging considering the lighting in most places is very poor. If you don't have a good program to change the lighting photos can be just dark and bad, missing, for instance a great shot.


I am dedicating this post to the night, to the night at a restaurant when no one has arrived, that moment that all is perfect, clean and beautiful to photograph.  


People who work at a restaurants, bars or places of this kind, are artists. They make a simple table with some wine glasses, plates, napkins look rich, elegant and sophisticated, creating an atmosphere very appealing to our senses.

The Wedding!

A Wedding is a big day for a couple, whether or not they will be married for life, it is a big day.

We have started the idea of capturing moments that we will treasure forever! A wedding is one of those big moments, right?

I will explaing what "we" means, Yes, I am not alone on this.

Giving more thought of what a treasured moment is, I came up with more than a wedding, but I also concluded that every individual has these moments and depending on many things in our lives we make it very special... for example, for us, Colombians, new year's eve is more important than Christmas eve is, hold up that face... it is still important, but more for children.  In North America it is a bigger deal and new year's eve it is party time, for us it is party time but we stay home we our loved ones, which one is better? none! they are different...

All this to mention that we make any moment special and there are not better moments than others, they are our moments!

We shot an Idian Wedding as a beginning of what I believe will be great!
Now, we, why we?? I am not alone on this, I share this passion with a very talented person, JM who with me, wants to make these special moments stay forever. Myself in the form of a photograph, JM in the form of a video.

This is our passion... this is our dream... this is YouGotSquared!
