A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Stroked EGO fashion show organized  by BLACKBOOKlife and  I happened to run into  K.  A beautiful girl I wanted to photograph and there was my chance and I took it. Here are some shots of her...


K, please stop and look at the camera... She couldn't do it, she a bit hyper... but I got it! I got the shot...

Now, Let's have some more fun with K... let's bring a guy into the photo... Let's find him.  I tried but she found him before me... when I turned there she was dancing on top of the stage with the guy... I wanted the shot, I wanted to capture her having fun and I got the look in the eye... judge by yourself....

The fun didn't stop and I got one more... one more....

She has also a soft look... very soft... while the party was going on and all she wanted was to dance, I got this...  

This is not the only time I will photograph her, I will soon post more photos. I am looking forward to it, but next time, I hope she will not move as much.

It's time for the guys! MALE EDITORIAL - the heat is up!

On Thursday March 31, 2011, I was invited by James Jefferson, owner & creative director

BLACKBOOK Lifestyle to the exclusive unveiling of the city's hottest designer men's swimwear. The evening was presented by Stroked EGO and Flamingo bar. 

James also gave me the chance to go behind the stage, where the models from Angie's model and Models International Management were getting ready, to take some shots of them before the show.  I was very excited about this event because I wanted to take some male editorial shoots and what a better opportunity than this. James, thanks again.

More editorial behind the stage of OFW - in B&W-sepia

20YS and I had the privilege of going behind the stage at OFW and the energy was amazing.

while everybody is waiting for the show to start, there is al whole different vibe going on behing the scene

all the models are getting ready, make up artists are making sure they look the best

Organizers are making sure all goes very smoothly, a few photographers are taking great shots of this great crazyness and designers are finalizing last minutes details for the show coming!

Everybody has a goal in mind, PERFECTION

Thank you for allowing us (20YS and I) to get the feeling and the energy of this side of OFW

I wanted to write a post about editorial photography but why writing something that has been talked about for a long time, so, I did some research and this is what I found, something simple and easy to read. The questions now is, do we all like Editorial photography?

What is Editorial Photography?

Most of the times you come across a cover page of some renowned magazine or an editorial in the leading news daily, you are left amazed at the photograph which speaks in volumes about the subject. It may come as a surprise for many, but this is what editorial photography is all about. 

In editorial photography, pictures become story-tellers and give the reader a visual insight of the writeup. 

In simple words, editorial photography can be defined as capturing pictures and publishing it along with a writeup to support it. 

It is very difficult to explain a concept by means of a single line definition in any creative field, and the same rule prevails here. 

Photojournalism is considered to be a subset of editorial photography which may or may not have a writeup attached to it.

All these shots were taken behind the scene of 2 different events.

Last weekend, ML and I  had the great opportunity to witness an amazing production.  Thanks to V /and D for this chance, you guys were great and the whole production was pure fun and professional. Well done!

A beautiful girl called, Erica...

Since I started this journey of photography, I always thought that photographing a child was very difficult. Then Erica came.  She is this little person, always laughing and so gracious that you just want to photograph over and over and again. she loves the camera! she is a natural gifted beautiful girl...

When this little girl was born, she was about 5lbs, so small, I could hold her with one of my hands. 

I still have the photos to remember that day and to show it to her when she grows up.

Oh little Erica, little beautiful Erica, always posing for my camera.

This photos were taken in the middle of ML's shoot, for Twenty York Street.  While ML was changing outfits for another session, Erica was in full posing for me.

And now, my favorite of all...

Most women dream about their wedding day, the day that finally they have the "one".

I went to a wedding show in Ottawa, I saw all kind of things that a wedding could have, from a photo booth to a video, from cupcakes to cakes just to mention a few.

I went with my camera after the models showed the dresses and captured some good moments...

one of my fav portraits, a beautiful bride...

This is was fun... all these bride posing for my camera, i just couldn't just focus on one, they looked amazing....

This particular model got my attention, I thought, her look was so elegant

The eyes of this model got me as well... call it, intense and sexy.

and here they were just having fun! 

for all the women who are getting married, the best of luck and the best of a new happy life and hopefully the man you get would do anything to make you happy.
